About Kate
Kate brings almost a decade of specialised workplace investigation experience to EMA, having conducted complex and sensitive investigations across financial services, health, education, childcare, disability services, and other sectors. Her approach to investigations—particularly those involving vulnerable persons—is informed by extensive training in trauma-informed practices and a deep understanding of procedural fairness.
Before her most recent role, Kate spent over three years as an Investigator with the Financial Conduct Authority in London, managing serious criminal and regulatory investigations. She also worked as a Senior Lawyer at ASIC investigating financial services breaches, and gained valuable prosecution experience with both the Commonwealth DPP and SA DPP in Adelaide. A Flinders Law graduate with honours, Kate combines strong legal rigour with practical investigation expertise.
